Note that there is a revision to the cap. The older one has the star coated with clear coat so it looks nicely flush. This is then glued onto the catch to fit in the wheel. This old design star can drop off if the glue deteriorate.

The newer ones has the star protruding and it is clamped to the catch by folded metal tab. This ensure the star will never drop off since no glue is used.

How I know? one of my stars disappeared from my wheel.

Don't have to, just use a small screwdriver to dig it out, or finger nails also can.

by the way, anyone know where to buy BRABUS wheel cap? i tried to buy fake one from ebay, it doenst fit

I believe C&C's workshop stocks the originals.

My C280's stock rims came with those pictured.
