Folks ...

what i am about to ask ... first things first.. dont worry about legal issues

my question is ... has anyone Supercharge or Turbo-ed a W124 stock engine before ? a 8V one for that matter.

Just a light pressure turbo punching about 0.5 to 0.7bar will do. Just aid the pick up.

sorry ... not really keen to change engine and displacement.

been driving my Whitie around a little bit more than usual and the terrible pick up is starting to put me to sleep.

thanks in advance !!

IMHO,

It's possible if no issue with LTA.

Then the mods be it a TC or SC will probably cost as much as the ride.

I remembered I was quoted something like $20k+ to TC a W211 pre FL E240.

The 16V W124 wil be more responsive.

I had a 8V W124 & I've driven my brother 16V

W124. Quite a diff! Maybe U should consider that!

I tell u 1 effective mod to the w124.

Change the final drive to 3.975 ratio or 4.1 ratio.

This option was previous avail from Merc spare part stockist (use the diesel crown and pionion gear).

*to find out your current final gear ratio, you can see the stamping on the rear axle.

HI Bro,

How Abt upgrade the engine to 8V 2.3 with port & polish, y0u will get better Power, if still cannot then change the gear ratio.

Cost of 2.3cc old engine with trade in abt 1400 and port & polish, installation rough cost abt 1500 maybe more or less. Please correct me if

i wrong.

Cheers
