Just changed my original 16" rim to 18" with new Firenza tire( China made i think ). Notice that the road noise became very audible. Is it normal that the road noise wii increased drastically when changing from 16 to 18" rim? Kindly advice. Attached is the picture of my rim.

Nice rim!!! Nope, depends on the model and the brand of the tyres.

Hmm...the supplier told me there bound to be slightly louder in road noise as i have upgraded from 16 to 18" low profile tires. While i can accept that, but these tires are really loud. Any recommendation for a quieter tires? Thks!

Yes road noise louder for 18" rim due to the tire profile plus the tire u used.

U can try the Conti CSC if ur budget allow.

Note: tire for dry weather tend to be quieter then those for wet weather.

To be frank, i got the package at a rather low price( slightly above 1K). I din ask for any specific brand of tires though. Din noe it plays an impt role on the noise level. May consider changing to a better brand after a few more days of testing.
