Thinking of changing rims of pre fl w211...

wanna swap the set of standard ah pei 16" rims/wheels on my pre fl w211 for a set of 17/18". am thinking used ones may be more bang for bucks so question is, what's the offset or whatever tires numbers i should be looking out for?

i like the 18" ones that come with some fl w211... would it be worth a trip to the chop shops, eh scrapyards to look for them? will they fit? how much are they if new from c&c/tire shop?

I asked for quote before as I kerbed my rear rim and asked C&C for quotation. One rear 18" rim costs around $1k. The front ones cost slightly lesser due to smaller size. So full set would cost $3-4k, not considering tyres.

geez, they must be very proud of their rims or their ability to pull a fast one on us. btw i have had very good experience repairing kerb rash... most panel beaters/body shops can restore your rim to its original condition for a very small fee.

I have been looking around for used 18" AVG rims to trade for the standard 16" rims (w211). So far, no success

Any brothers know where to find used AVG w211 rims?
