Speedometer (MPH to KPH)

Hi ... newbie here.

Anyone here converted speedometer from MPH to KPH before? Can you please share your experience. Thanks!!

You mean your speedo is in MPH? Can't you change it just by pressing some buttons?

Cant really remember the sequence, think its

- scroll the general menu using the extreme left 2 buttons (top or bottom buttons)

- then use the "up and down" arrow buttons to do a sub menu scroll

- keep trying until u find either display settings or car settings

Yup, something like that, fiddle around with the steering wheel buttons.

Or do you mean ur analog dial is in Mph? Probably an ex-UK car if so. Might need to change the speedo unit to a kmh unit. Quite straightforward for old cars, but not sure for new ones. Is yours an r170 or r171?

Yes the dial is in MPH. Mine's a R171.

So I guess will have to change the meter unit... Is that a major job?

Isn't the analogue dial adjustable via the buttons anyway? I tried changing my display to mph before and the dial followed. I'm not driving an SLK though, so it may be different.

The digital display has already been adjusted to km/h.

Good excuse to speed If you get caught, just ask the TP to sit in your car and show them that you were doing the "speed limit"!

My dealer promised to get it fixed for me but if not, will surely go MBM... anyway warranty is by MBM:-)

the speed limit is 60kph but u tell him u misread the dial to 60mph :clap: :clap: :clap:

if this meter is fitted on Fed's TT i don't think it make any difference..................(Lol).............he sure kena stop again...
