Hi

I am reading and looking ard for a used C-class in SGCarMart.

I am confuse with regards to the model.

My understand as follow

C200 = 1.8 litre

C180 = 1.6 litre.

Is tis correct ?

When I am at browsing thru SGCarmart website, i saw a few C180 is equal to 1.8 litre..

Or are there different model between PI and the C&C.

Regards

1.6 is the new BE model.. (blue efficiency) that was launched in MAY this year, it replaces the C180 which is 1.8CC.. power is still similar but you pay lesser road tax.. :)

Hi raymonya,

both are 1.8L

C180 is a de-tuned version like the present 325i and 323i for BMW

C200 184hp and 250nm

C180 163hp and 240nm some may even be 143hp and 230nm

any bro care to share more...........?

happy searching

cheers

ACSLK - With due respect the info you provided is not quite right.

C180 BE is 1.6L with 156 HP ( I am driving one)

Raymonya - you may like to refer to above link for more info. On PI and CC - Do a search much info at this forum. I did the same before deciding.

Cheers!!

I think ACSLK is not wrong if he's refering to C180s before May 2009 this year...

They were 1.8l with a detuned engine as compared to the C200's 1.8l powerplant

And Raymonya appears to be looking at the slightly older C180s :)

All C180 and C200 of W204 are 1.8 until the arrival of BE, which is 1.6.

All C180 and C200 of W203 used to be a 2 litre engine until end 2003 (for Singapore) when the new M271 engine was introduced. From then onwards, all C180 and C200 of W203 are 1.8 until mid 2007 when the W204 came.

Hi Clear Vision, how is the ride? power wise? any complaint? I'll be getting mine in two weeks times. :iconsalut:

1) SO far so good. Previously driving Honda Civic 1.8L (140HP) always ram the car and shiok...now with C180 only last few days ram the car...... Hit red line on several occassion and yes power good enought for me. Hit 160KM/hr on short burst. very staple.

2) Pump in 95 RON petrol for 6 full tanks realise only 1 ltr = 9.8KM

Change to 98 RON petrol and achieve 1 ltr = 10.56KM

Same driving style and same road daily 80% to 85% Stop n go.

Not bad on S mode.

See my other link....for more info when you collect your car.
