Hi all.

Wondering if an iPod can be connected to the existing Audio 5 HU I have in my W169. Read the Audio 5 Manual and it's stated that there is an AUX in connection. Is this possible?

I know I won't be able to control the iPod frm the steering controls if connected via AUX in cable but not really looking to change my HU.

Anyone who can help?

Thanks!

I m not familar with the Audio 5 HU but U have mentioned that there is an AUX.

If there's an AUX input terminal, U might be able to connect your iPod earphone out to the HU Aux input.

Get an car audio shop to check this up for U!

Thanks Kepiting1sg!

That's what I thought but I've actually called C&C but was told that I'll have to use the iPOd interface unit. According to the manual, AUX can be used for CDC or any external AUX input but 'this feature can be set by a Merc authorised workshop'.

Any idea what that means or is that just their way of discouraging owners to seek assistance elsewhere?

Thanks!

iPod interface kit may cost a few hundred $$$.

IMHO worth every single $ if your Audio 5 can have full iPod Control from your steering.

My FL W211 can't! :banghead:

U can also check with Ah Boon from Autospritze - Wee Heng Acc.

Tel: 81633839

115 Eunos Ave 3

Check with him what he can do for U!
