hi gurus,

i am looking to have my first taste on conti, and shortlisted it to c180 CGI W204 (COE-ed), that is within my budget.

if i were to make a viewing , what are the things to zoom in, for for such an older W204?

is the maintainace  going to burn a hole in wallet for this model?

and common issues for a the older w204, that i need to take note off?

road tax will be $1.1+k , FC i read is 11~13km/L.

if you do come across an good condition w204, do drop me a ping as well

No 1, 2, 3 & 4 is the key failure and high cost to repair  ... most like happened after high mileage or above 10 years old W204.

5 till end, all is wear & tear  .... so is depending on your usage also, how you drive that 10 years old horse.

And W204 engine is very hot, so do expect rubbers/hoses break or air leak.

Test drive carefully and be more alert on all sound.

Bought a used C&C C180 Bluefficiency (YOM 2012) after 2.5 yr use from 1st owner in 2015 (20k mileage when bought) and drove it until March 2022 (9th year ~100k mileage).  Car regularly maintained and in very good condition.  I was contemplating renewing COE but in the end traded in to C&C for another new model as I was given a very attractive trade-in offer.

Had no major issues (did not encounter key or green key issue) other than the usual maintenance servicing & wear&tear replacement.

Regular Maintenance (annually) can be carried out at C&C or many other outside MB specialist workshops at reasonable price.
