Sharing What I discovered in New C180 BE W204

Hi Guys,

Started a new thread to share with all What i discovered in the Class C in particular C180BE. Collect mine in June 2009.

1) There is NO Dust filter (aircon) provided by C&C. Cos I open up the bonnet of engine compartment and remove the whole plastic out. The part just above battery. Take some pic.

Called up C&C and they said PROVIDED. So i drive to C&C and they remove it in front of me and CONFIRMED NO Dust Filter there.!!! They said only Higher Class provided.

2) Then they said they provided a Charcoal Filter inside the cabin just below Glove box. Not convinced, so they remove it to show me.........well ....dont want to comment here, as some SE C&C are at this forum.

3) The plastic form thingy mentioned by some bro here (At rear below bumper). Ask them about it and they said its nothing and push it back.....Hmmmmmmmm

Having said above I must said SE at C&C are very helpful. That all for now...

maybe that explains the foul smell i have been having..

so is there a charcoal filter install at all?

i wonder,

if it is anything like the w203 back then...

if it is the higher end Thermotronic (3 zone), then yes, they will install the charcoal version.

if it is the Thermatic (2 zone), then it will be normal filter.
