Engine temperature

The engine temperature always stabilise at 90 degrees C, and has never been above that. Wonder if anyone has the temp going beyond that? Also as the temp gauge shows up to 120 degrees C, and is it okay to still drive in this temp range? Have not been caught in a bad jam like at the Causeway yet though.

Mine stabilises around 86 i think...i do not think that u would want ur water temp to go up to 120 degrees yo...thats like boiling man...and u dont want that to happen i can guarantee u..

cars these days do not overheat in bad jams unless there is really something wrong...i have been stuck in a jam for over 6 hours before in a CRV and it didnt overheat one bit. if a jap car can do it, so can a merc!

The coolant elevates the boiling point of water

?Tb = Kb · mB

non comprendo man.... :-\

?T = Kb*m

?T is the elevation in boiling point of the substance (water in this case)

Kb is the molal boiling point elevation constant

m is molality which is simply number of moles of substance/kg of substance
