Hi All,

I have been trying to understand a little more on the AMG sports package that i have chosen which obviously i was blinded by the bodykit and forgot to find out the rest of the goodies it came along with it.

1) Mercedes Logo Brake Caliper / Perforated Brake Disc - Anybody know how many pot is this consider? Or it just a normal caliper with the merc logo printed?

2) Sports Suspension lowered 15mm - Besides lowering the ride height, it is really a "sports" suspension? I thought already got the agility control, but will this makes a difference in terms of handling?

3) Different Tyre size - why the front and back is different tyre size har?

kam sia for any inputs!

1. Not sure how many pots there is on the brakes.

2. There is an option called Advance Agility Package for suspension that can only be ordered with the AMG package, evident through a sport button below the air-con panel. I hear say from US based forum that damping rates and engine revs are affected when sport button is pushed. Gives a more sporty ride. Not sure handling of car with just 15 mm lowered.

3. I suppose all sports car comes in staggered sizes. Better traction and stability?

Btw, how long do you have to wait to get your car?

The cost of the AMG Sports Package is $8,100 IF its a factory option. In SG, there's is no way to retro-fit the AMG kit.

In Dec, there wasn't any stock for the factory fitted (code 950) AMG Sports Package for sale.

There were only 4 that came in recently and all were sold within a week.

Cheers

Yes, when I went window shopping in early Jan, was told no stock for AMG package. Waiting time is about 5-6 months. That put me off a little bit. OT, will there be any interested parties if I let go a brand new AMG Sports package front bumper + side skirt the day car is out of showroom. Can swap your default brakes for top up on the Mercedes logo brake calipers and front rotors too. Just an interest check.

Bro, no regrets lah, it's definitely worth it. If you don't want sell me the whole AMG kit when your car comes out, swap with my car, my car black also. Ai mai? Then I throw in free lessons on paddleshift for you! Ha ha!

Hi,

Answer to your question.

1) It is just a normal caliper with 4 pots with merc logo printed on it.

2) Anything lowered then the stock suspension (spring) is call sport suspension but you still riding on normal shock absorber. Yes, the handling will be better, the car will not row so much while you negotiating a corner.

3) Rear wheel drive usually have a wider tire for better road holding.

Hope the above information good for you.
