W203 - Door handle come off problem.

DAMN SUAY.

last week i went to do servicing den nearing the weekend change tires and at the same time do alignment..

but F**K ley, at auto bacs, once they hoist the car up to do "laser alignment", the mechanic opened up the door to get in, saw him step on a mini chair to get up, but as his hands were blocked by the door, im not sure how he got into my car.. (most likely he grabbed the handle to pull himself up)

1 day later i close the door as always, there was a "piak" sound and den the handle broke... bloody F**K.

sian la, alignment off (laser alignment my ass la, straight road car drifts to the left), kena chopped for those tires i bought, and worst still, door handle pi-cha...

what are the chances of me going to kpkb them for a door handle replacement?

uncle batam and cklasse can advise me not cuz u all kena broken handle b4? how much is it to change one?

Got it changed at MBM.

I think it's below $100.

Why not give MBM a call!

If you got the time, maybe go & buy it & instal it yourself.

That could save you some money.

saw 2 guides online and they dun look that easy for boyboy like me... sian, the last thing i wanna do when replacing the handle myself is to trigger the airbag which cost ~$1000. not to mention i might get something in my eye.

It is easy to replace but troublesome to actually put your hands to do it. $80 is for part only and you need to go MBM first to get them to order unless you want to wait long long time there.

Airbag is enclosed in a silver colour box, so should not be an issue.

I think I paid that amount to MBM with free labor (goodwill)

They did the handle replacement when I sent in my car for a few days to do some other repairs.

So I dun think the wait at MBM will be long.
