Had a chance to put the C220CDI through some hard driving. There is still the distinct diesel clutter that can be heard on the outside, but the insulation does a good job in eliminating it and it is hardly discernible on the inside. Upon hard acceleration, a puff of dark smoke is visible from the tail-pipes.

The rated torque is 400 Nm from 2000 rpm but the auto-estate did not accelerate any faster than the C200/230 (the quoted 0-100 km/h sprint are almost identical for all 3) but perhaps the advantage will show up in daily driving than in hard-driving.

I saw the W204 Estate today in Merc Center and MAN!!! it's beautiful. Never knew Estate can be so nice. :love7:

Test driven the car already at Kent Ridge road..... :devil2:

Not too bad, the handling is up to par to the sedan. You won't really feel the extra load at the back.... overall a very good drive... :)

Test drive car is also available through an appointment. Plus, now have a slightly better promo for it compared to the sedan. ;)

When I was checking out my W203 many years back, I asked and took the test drive car at high speed along AYE to Pandan and back to C&C by the windy Kent Ridge road. That's the way to try both type of roads for the car. In fact, during one of those promo in Conrad Hotel, I took the test drive car (my first experience of the M271 engine) to Changi Airport and back. Chiong up the steep road to Sheares Bridge and this sort of enhance the desire to get the car.

So, lesson learned. I am not going to test drive the C200 Estate.

There was a C-Class Estate Sport included in the Mercedes Driving Experience 2009, and I found it very impressive in the rapid evasive maneuver exercise - armed with its Agility Control Package (with the Selective Damping System) included as standard equipment. Personally, I actually preferred driving it over the saloon.

U mean the old folks find it cumbersome to get in and out ah? No issue for me leh, i open the rear boot and pack them in, this is priceless!! Yes, i got to agreed with u is a sure beauty, ahem. I think C&C only have C180, not too sure whether they have higher capacity or not. Btw CLC is W203 not W204, i think only the front portion is W204!!! lolz

When I was shopping for my W203 then, I had wanted a tangerine glass roof C-class sports coupe (call CLC now). However, the issue of old people difficult to get in and out prevented me from getting it. Can't imagine my mother-in-law sit in front and my wife sit behind because of this getting in/out problem.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_CLC-Class

they have the CLC160 BE, CLC180K(which C&C brings in), CLC200K, CLC230 & last CLC350

you may try ask C&C or any of the PIs(First Automobile ) to indent

was told C&C only brings in the 180K.... color choices was running out fast... was told they will place new order in May or June...
