Noted for its sleek, stylish and almost stealthy modifications of Mercedes Benz vehicles, Lorinser occupies a special place in the German tuner scene. Apparently that place is very special because Lorinser has developed a tuning program for the 2010 E-Class before the car has even been delivered to dealerships. Today the first official photos of the package have emerged, complementing the sketches released a couple weeks ago.

The new E-Class, which sneaked onto the scene at the Detroit Motor Show, won't be delivered to European customers until May, and America will have to wait until the third quarter of the year, but Lorinser has already had their hands on one long enough to develop a whole range of accessories. As the photos, sourced from the German site Mercedes-Fans, show the car will add the typical tuner features to the E-Class's already sharp looks.

Working with the foundation of the V8-powered E500/550, Lorinser adds its own 20in alloy wheels, a new set of bumpers and the firm’s trademark side vents. Carbon fiber rear fascia and side skirt treatments are also included, plus a custom sport exhaust system with quad tailpipes.

A series of modifications including new performance camshafts, a high-flow exhaust and a recalibrated ECU sees output of the standard 5.5L V8 engine lifted from 388hp (290kW) to a healthy 435hp (324kW). Torque also sees a rise from 391lb-ft (530Nm) to 420lb-ft (570Nm). Of course, Lorinser also removes the car’s electronic speed limited, which means the E-Class with all the modification on board will cruise to a new top speed of 174mph (280km/h).

The new package should launch alongside the new E-Class in May, by which time Lorinser should also have its new suspension package for the car ready.
