W204 C200 Kompressor - 'Beep-ing" + "Device Not Available"

Hi everyone, I recently bought a C200 Kompressor, 2009 model and today is the 4th day.

I went JB to install Built-In camera yesterday and everything is fine, until the 'beep-ing' and the screen 'Device Not Availble' occurs only today.

I went back to the car dealer where I purchased the car and was told that it's the installation process of the Built-in Camera that's affecting the connectivity and audio system and asked me to return back to JB workshop to check.

The Mechanic checked, disconnect all the wires connecting to the Built-In camera but the issue still persist.

1. What do you think is the problem?

2. Any recommendation who can fixed this?

3. Who should be responsible for this?

Any bros and sis can advice please?

I had similar problem in my 2009 C 200. While I was trying to eject CDs from the changer, only 1 ejected then "drive unavailable" message appeared. No other CD's were visible and couldn't play them. All other functions were fine.

When I started the car next day the message started to flash on the display panel at the same time, I heared the beep sound from the speaker. I had to drive more than 7 hours with this beep sound to come home.

With the help of above experience I followed the same steps. Turned on the system and then radio and inserted a CD. Straight away the CD was inserted and started to play. The beep sound stopped and whole system started to work fine.

Otherwise I have to pay top dollars to dealership.

Thank you so much

Have the same issue with my C200K. Did a little research online and found out that this is a common issue with the pre-fl model with the old CD player. The problem seems to be the CD drive failing. Either change a new head unit or get the CD drive repaired by someone who knows how.
