Soft knocking sound from steering column

1 month old c230 (w204) seems to give out a slight knocking sound somewhere from the steering column occasionally. Usually, when going over road humps. Apparently, some bushings need to be tightened.

Anyone faced a similar problem, and what is the cause and solution (for peace of mind)? Thank you for sharing.

I had the same problem. did you adjust your steering alignment before? is your steering perfectly centered??

No adjustment was made and the steering alignment is straight. Have you rectify the problem? Pls share. Ty.

Yes is rectified. Your sound could be heard when your car is stationary or moving??

My sound came out when the car is turning around almost full-lock. Is quite soft actually like knocking sound from the wheels outside.

It happens only when on the move without turning the steering. It is really soft sounding and discernible only at low speeds.
