CnC low overtrade value for C class

Recommended Posts

Hi all, this is my first step towards owning a mercedes. I went comparing the a4 3 series and c class and found that CNC offers about 10K lesser interms of overtrade value for their c class compared to their competitors. Is it the SE being stingy with the overtrade value or is this the norm?

It's also interesting how CnC has the most "unattractive" packages requiring 7 years loan and 60%. There's also the more limited 3 years warranty compared to 5 years unlimited offered by PML and Audi.

Please dont get this the wrong way as i am very much more attracted to mercedes than the other brands. It's just curiosity on my part on how the pricing gap can be so significant between these 3 competitors. The c class's Pricing is also higher than their rivals. So from a value perspective the Mercedes is the least attractive.

Do let me know if this low overtrade value was experienced when you bought your mercedes.

Welcome bro

You can't compare merely on prices across different brands.

Otherwise you might as well get a Corolla for 50k less.. it has more legroom than the C Class ;)

Much better value..

The overtrade (OT) varies, depending on the car they wish to promote. Eg, the OT was much higher when they wanted to get rid of the older 7G W205 a year back.

If the main criteria is cost, the Audi A4 is the cheapest, and it's still made in Germany.

There are many more factors, features and of course the ride and the brand itself. Ask yourself how much do you wish to own the W205, and whether it's the right choice, esp if price is the main criteria. Make sure you budget for service costs etc - you may get 5k in service credits, but you need to budget for service and other costs too.

All the best with your choice :)

Thank you bro for your input! Yeap i have factored in everything and am ready to commit to the c class. Infact i was almost tempted by the E class but found it abit too mature for my liking.
Then again, I would like to ask you, based on your knowledge does the SE have any reason to reduce the OT value for an interested buyer? Do they pocket more money out of it? Otherwise, do i assume that the OT value is fixed?

OT is a variable that is used in haggling.

So is the amount of service credit.

The current W205 is quite popular and most teething issues have been ironed out so there isn't any big promotion.. but a lot will depend on your own bargaining skills too.

September to October are good months, as the rep need to fulfill certain numbers so press a bit more and see.

Good luck 👍
