W124 - Starting issues

Man,

Over the past week, the W124 has died on me twice.

First time round, i towed the car, replaced with a new Maintenance free Battery (S$180) and new Starter (Valeo-S$330).

Drove for a week before........

Towing it (out of a Multi Story Car Park), changing the starter (borsch-S$200)

I hope that's the end of it....towing is expensive.....and a waste of good time.

Happens to my on my w124 previous.

My prob was the fuel pump..... cannot start at all.

Trick is to use an umbrella and knock at the bottom.... wake-up the pump.

Yeap ... also check the igination coil too.

keep us update.

car seems to be ok.

Duno why the rear passenger foot wells were soaked though. When I collected the car, the seats and carpets at the vertical portions all dry, but the foot weels were soaked underneath the floor mats. Carpet was entirely soaked

go check your spare tyre well and its side well. If there is H2O.. Then you are going to have headache reaching for the leak! :surrender:

No water there

Phew!

I'm hoping to hell that it was just a water bottle that leaked. Will update when I can.

Hardly drive the 124, only on weekends. My daily mode of commode uses much less gas...
