anyway, where did you do up your exhaust?

meng chan? that mad fellow. hmm, he told me his brothers slk is very much a stock one & he said he and up with all three slk200,280 & 350. :wifstupid: LOL. Well you don't need a rocket scientists to see if that is vaild. haa... So you must be the one that he always mention to me saying that your slk is a heavyily tune ? or is it just him rubbing salt ?

Well it's a good thing seldom female owners here in SGP do up their cars in term of performances, besides of garge R female owner's. haaa

no worries. i totally get what you mean. everyone knows and my impression of many garage is that... they will charge you a higher price seeing that you drive a slk... and esp. if your no. plate is dammmn swee. you may somehow feel that their opinions or recommandations could be somewhat ungenuine? hahahaha alrighti the workshop i frequented almost every other day is at Paya Ubi. hahaha i will share with you some of my views when i get back in 2 wks.

hmmmm, you know what, he is full of bull sh*t! you can tell him that. i am pretty sure his bro's slk is stock standard, but unsure if he has networks. i know he has MANY MANY cars but i highly doubt he has the 280 and 350. everyone knows my slk is pretty much stock standard. im not being modest or anything hahaha till you see it... tell him... my STOCK SLK cannot fight with his Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin....whatever he has!

hmmm, not too sure if he had so many SUPERCARS. The only SO CALLED supercar title by him I saw was a bently at his place not too long ago & perhaps the fastest there ( 0-100 in 5.1 sec? ). Seldom drive thought and was said to be his mum's ride. besides that all are mostly long base family rides with most of his family members cars adding up to his collection. that's where he got the title SO MANY CARS FROM. anyway it's kinda misleading talking about this I think he has yet to take his TP which is somewhere on the 18 of june meng chan said.

hahaha it all started bout 1-2 years ago, when i hardly have any networks, my friend brought me to FK to get a quotation (operate exhaust). someone, i couldn't recall, quoted me $500-$600. hahahahaha see chopper! then i went to Jeep Chee.... they do those exhaust that can pass inspection (not exactly what i wanted).... and more expensive. few months later... another friend brought me to RaceTech (subsidary of FK) and they quoted me $450 (operate exhaust). WTH, then i called Man... he quoted me $300 (not discounted yet). hahahahaha but ultimately i went to RaceTech to do my exhaust.

now, im glad that i've built some long-term r/s with few garage, but there is a price to pay hahaha. for me, i love comparing prices as well as getting feedbacks from friends with regards to workmanship. so did you get ur exhaust done at FK? i realise... they do many jap cars but few conti cars.

Man Exhaust is at Sin Ming. I found the add for you: Blk 11 Sin Ming Industrial Estate Sector B #01-77.

hmmmmm, i have the same impression too. i'm sure there are other places that offer more value. but FK is alright. i haven't get to hear any negative comments bout them.

anyway, what is your upcoming exhaust project. share share you like loud loud exhaust is it? hahaha for a moment i feel like changing my piping again to something like a straight through and get two titanium tips. cos my exhaust tip very dirty... and ugly haha... but i scared people come kah chiao me. lol

I did a straight through on my car for exhuast and I must say performances wise it did help. sound wise 50% better den stock but I realise this roadster only starts to bark when the rpm hits above 2000rpm which is not to my liking esp for auto it changes gear above 2500rpm by itself all the way up to the highest gear. only if i floor the pedal or swap it to paddel shift mode to push it above 2000rpm it's quite satisficing. looking for sth which has more end product.

haa, If you swap to a straight though your exhuast tips will turn brown in just a matter of days due to the higher flowing combustion. that's what happen to mine.

Yeah Mercy's sounds FANTASTIC! I thought I was doing like 100km/h even though I was only going at 50km/h in her car! In contrast, all the other cars I've driven feel quite slow even when going at 110km/h

back to topic, mercy's is nice, seriously. I think Jun's is almost the same right? make my backside itchy to mod only both of them, but my car not worth to have loud loud exhaust, cannot top down to hear it.

Jun didn't have to pay excessively for his mod at Racetech right?

i told them i wanted moderate. i not sure what did lai do to Jun's exhaust. haha. individual preference. i've yet to hear his.... ultimately both also came out from the same workshop... so maybe not much difference. but was told by lai it is much much louder than mine. hahahaha yea.... "special" r/s between Lai and Jun -----> special price (50% of my damage). hahaha

Haha I think it sounds better with the roof on actually. You can really feel the mad vibration in the car every time you step on the gas!

Ps. The yellow car handles so insanely well that my dad honestly thought he was doing 90 when he was in fact doing something closer to twice that speed haha!

paying so much for it... i suppose ur dad's yellow has realli good handling. on the other hand.... i was doing 220 when going up to sepang... it felt like my car was about to fall apart. like i may lose my door anytime. haha maybe its just me. it was so scary... but i have to stay intact with the convoy. 8.)
