Exhaust Mod??

hi bros...juz took a look under the car...quite different from what i had expected.

From what i saw, its header down to a single primary cat, then to a single secondary cat.

Theres no resonator after the secondary cat but instead it juz branches out to the twin AMG mufflers.

Man told me the AMG mufflers are already "straight through" design...so no point doing anything to it.

Theres not much restrictions you can get rid of except the secondary cat (no CEL light on) and probably some aftermarket headers to free things up.

All the above are based on my slk200.

the header should be able to fit........ makes the car go fast fast & loud loud.......... but not too loud...........

fully customised exhaust would definitely be loud...haha! but im looking to keep my amg mufflers...so probably would just work on the cat and the x-pipes...

Btw I hope you guys remember that de-catting your car will cause it to fail inspection and if you wanted to sell the car in the future, you will have to replace the cats at your own expense because other people may not wish to buy a car that does not pass inspections.

Does de-catting have any real performance gains such a more free-flowing engine, this more powerful n faster? You need to at least be faster to escape chasing TP after this mod! :swduel:

On a stock car, you might lose torque because you lose back pressure when you remove your catalytic converter. Different story on a modified one though.

Hurhur Jun, your exhaust must be LOUD as hell now! My mom used to complain about Mercy's car because it was so damned loud in the middle of the night. Your car is now louder than even stock exotics such as Lambos and Ferraris (at low rpm anyway). Enjoy your car in good health man, it must sound FANTASTIC now right?

hahahahaha.... no need scare scare. they look at me i just act :angel1: hehehehe ah lai everytime kena road block also nothing happen. imagine his is *5 of mine. yea. is like you can tell the garage how loud you want it to be - really loud or just mediocre. i told ah lai i dont like damn loud. just nice can alrd. otherwise my dad will complain too noisy.. hahaha but he like used to the noise liao. so i want to customise my exhaust tips (willandes: not T*TS) or change piping again.
