Sports Mode always On

Hi guys,

Has any encounter this before with Sports Mode always "on"?

My Year 2010 W204 would switch to "sports mode" after 3rd gear shift and would not be able to switch off.

Restart of car would go back to "Comfort mode", but after moving off, 3rd gear shift and it would be "sports mode" again all the way.

Can you manually switch to gears higher than 3?

Yes manual switching of gears are ok, though also in sports mode. 

No issues of going higher gears too in automatic transmission, just that it will turn on "sports mode" after the 3rd gear...

You try doing the reset of ECU/tcu first.

see if it works if cannot you've have to go to a workshop to do diagnosis for you

It's not normal definitely. All of us are encountering sports mode changing back to Comfort mode automatically after re-start problem instead. (which is by default and not a problem actually).

@Lozario What you're experiencing doesn't sound normal. Please go to your trusted workshop to get this diagnosed.

Had it checked by my regular workshop, but their diagnostic equipment can't find any fault. The mechanic tried calling up their friend at C&C, and was advised to bring my car there for more thorough equipment check. C&C guy said could be gear box issue. 😂😂😂

Had tried unhooking the batt cable to try resetting, but no help.
