w124, another 10 years?

GUys, wonder if our machine can last another 10 years? When do u think the gearbox and engine is due for overhaul? Under Normal usage and normal servicing... can it last another 10 years?

W124 is built to last.

20-25 year should not be problem.

Ya,i agree that its built to last..last of the tanks..no funny weird problems..just normal wear n tear..n sg,our mileage is considered low..european countries,they go in miles n have rotated 1 time or more in de odometer..but wear n tear is not avoidable..basic stuff may go wrong like corrosion parts/pumps/suspension...its not really that expensive compared to some cars..just did top overhaul on my W124 E220 Touring.Runs like a gem now..too bad i have to sell it as come unforseen matters popped up..(not car related) :-\

Ya,mines a Maroon exterior with beautiful MB Tex Cream leather (No creases or looking tiredn still has that smell) 220TE w124 Final Facelift 16valve Original Throughout.

Super Tight Sunroof,Self-Levelling REar Suspension still works like a charm,Power Windows,Freezing aircon(No joke).Most Wear n tear parts changed.Powerful ride..Tried with a W211 E200 Komp n still this car runs and handles! :punk1:

Thanks! a masterpeice is cool too!I have to agree a good condition w124 estate is not an easy find..i had a hardtime sourcing for 1 let alone a well kept/loved 1.mine even has rear speakers!Starts on 1st crank w/o fail n genuine 242,000 kms.all de bells n whistles an original TE shld have,its there.i so cant bear to let it go.but it has to...
