Is it a norm for CnC to bid "low" for e 1st 2 or 3rd bidding?

I assume you are talking about Mercs?

They may have a different bidding policy for their other cars, but for Mercs, it's quite solid.

I saw that they bid 9k more than the COE. Most of my friends got their COEs either on the first or second try. What car did you book and what kind of package did you get? How many bids have you gone through?

Yap ..merc.. funny...they bidded like 49k n 48k for e last 2 bidding.... mine is 6 bids non G

They bidded very low for the first few bids and bidded high on my the 4th bid for me.

It's normal...likely your car is not arriving soon and hence no urgency for them to secure the COE so soon.

i got it on the 4th bid too.

Everything can be negotiated, although the discount can come in many forms.. what car did you get? If it's not convenient, maybe you can pm the deal.. 

But IMO, they don't do the top up game - you will get your COE..

Don't worry dude. All the dealers have their "reserved" COE (for management cars & stuff), so if you don't get your first few they will most likely just give you a successfully bidded one. Never heard of them asking a customer to top up before

+1, it will be fine bro, welcome to Merc.. if your ride only comes in Feb from South Africa, maybe they want to wait for the current COE frenzy from the Motorshow and CNY rush to subside. Which means your rep probably offered you a very sweet deal..

Not true,they just like your money more.

Anyways lilely they havent put your car into the production queue yet so no point bidding for you . cos coe validity only 6 months. they dont want got coe no car. imo dont worry. i got mine on the 4th bid

Hi rainman, did you go to LTA site to check your COE bidding ? I did for the last 2 biddings but it says "no matching record found". Maybe C&C still not put-in my bid yet....
