Park Light

Recommended Posts

Dear everyone

Currently a GLA owner but I guess this applies to other models as well...

Would like to share this info to everyone (if you are not aware)..

Regarding our headlights, I realise that when I turn it off manually and then switch off my car engine, one side of the LED lights is still on...initially I thought it may be a fault till my SE advised me:-

He said that preferably always set the headlights to Auto mode. There is no off switch, instead it's Parking light which I mentioned earlier where one side of the LED lights is turned on. This function is activated when we park at very dark places and at the same time prevent other drivers from colliding with our car. Therefore this light will continue to be turned on when the engine is off and will only turn off when engine is on.

Hope my explanation is clear :)

will this cause any problem with the battery?

last month, i left the hazard lights on after parking the car then came back to a flat battery

Don't think the parking light will drain your battery overnight unless you have a bad battery.

I left my in-car camera on (with motion detector) when I travel overseas for 5 - 7 days and car still able to start when I return.

I don't think the parking light will consume more power than the camera...
