Manufacture date vs delivery date

I can see my B class got manufactured in Germany last Oct, while delivered in SG this Apr (after 6 months).

Is it common for C&C Mercs? Thanks.

Normally takes 3 months to reach our shores from Germany.

That said, was told (from various sources, not C&C) Germany generally stops work (less daily essentials) during the year end period, like Nov-Dec period so nothing much moves over there.

I don't know what's considered the norm as shipping via sea has many factors. In the end, I don't think it makes any difference. Your car is still valued based on the registration date. Warranty also starts on the registration date.

Want fast delivery, tell your SE you will pay for air freight. Via sea, your car could have travelled the world before reaching the shores of Singapore.
