Chinese Character and GPS

Hi All

 

I had collected my car in Jan and found out something a bit weird and like to check if anyone had same symptom as me.

 

 

1) My monitor cannot reflect chinese character but in the speedometer screen, it is able to show. 

 

2) When I activated GPS, the screen cannot fit the monitor size.

 

If this is abnormal, I will go bang table already.

Lol. Mine is the exact opposite. My screen can show chinese characters while the speedometer can't.

Don't bang table lah....its perfectly normal. If you want the those requirements, go get the Comand unit. Elebest (our site sponsor) sells it.

Wow... so many 'configuration'... how can that happen when the set should be the same...   I prefer to have your 'configuration'...

Two of u can do a swap where one get All English and the other All Chinese

The entertainment system installed in your car is the Audio 20 system. It does not come with navigation. When the car arrives in Singapore, your dealer installed an integrated aftermarket GPS system which is what you got.

 

The Audio 20 system is installed at the factory and your dealer doesn't have control over it. However, they will be able to verify the setup of your system. Alternatively you may seek for a third party opinion from ricric_lo, camber53, or Elebest on this issue if it really bugs you as I'm very sure the system is able to display characters correctly. Could be as simple as a wrong setting.

 

As for your aftermarket GPS, the screen can be calibrated as I do have a similar system setup with my Comand Online. Do check with the installer, should be an easy 5 mins fix.

 

All small issue, don't need bang table.
