Lowering an R-class

winks

Recommended Posts

hello there! Am a new owner of an (used) W251. Love the ride (although there's a lot of body roll!), comfort and power. Is there anyplace to recommend to lower an R-Class? I don't think mine has airmatic and are just equipped with normal springs and shocks.

Much Thanks!

Winks

Think your is pre FL?

PreFL is without front and rear antiroll bar.

You can try site sponsors like AUTOVOX or MBM, they may have answers to your suspensions (possibility get BARBUS or CARLSON versions)

Thanks! I didn't know there was a structural difference in the pre and post FL models for the W251. Wonder if can get the roll bars installed on mine. I saw on some other foreign Merc forums that the modding scene for even MPVs like the R-class is pretty big - not just with BRABUS or CARLSSON aftermarket tuners.
