Hi guys need some help in deciding between 523 and E200K.

Which is better?

No brainer is the E230 with it's smooth V6 2.5L engine. ;D

If this model was avail when I got my E200, would had definitely gone for it.

depends on wat u like. Merc is for internal luxury, comfort, safety and of cuz luxury gadgets. <- custom order lor.

BMW is for excellent drive dynamics & a poser.

IMHO, the E200 has a better drive dynamics than the E230. The E230 just dont have that low end acceleration as the kompressor. Of cuz the kompressor whine does get to u. E230 is a cruiser, the 7 spd + V is perfect but the 2.8 is much sweeter.

Get the avantgarde & u get much better drive dynamic setup. Lower springs, sport suspension, large rims. I think stiffer anti-roll bar & of cuz the sportier looks

I actually feel that a Merc W211 E200k or E230 or for that matter a BMW E60 523i is still going to be underpowered considering that both cars have a big heavy body. I have not test driven these cars above but I got such feedback from other people.

I have an avantgarde E320 W211 with 18inch wheels, airmatic suspension and aftermarket Eibach antiroll bars which improved the car's handling. On the North South, the car is a very comfortable cruiser ,but generally speaking, the Merc's handling is not as sharp as the BMW's.

So, jenvis is correct. It depedns on what you want. Life is like that. Cannot have everything one.

Heavy body is one thing, but once you have experience more HP & torque, there is no way u can settle for less. But sprintbooster & supercharger can do wonders plus a little footwork on the accelerator is good enough.

Poison: go for a super long test drive on the GS300 & u may never end up buying a E230/200 or a 523 if low end torque & low rev driving is the name of the game.

Ultimate poison: Go sit in the Rolls of the Pinetree club, 9000cc car (I think) & rev no more than 1k.

Today went to look at both the cars properly and have now finally more keen on the 523i becuase of the low price compared to the e230 and more power than the E200. So that is the best since it is in the middle...

Hi bros just confirmed the 523i today to replace my e90.

Got it is black sapphire with black interior.
