Did anybody realized that car insurance premiums has increased by about 30% this year ? I used to pay $900 plus for my B-Class but this year, all the insurance companies I contacted quoted me $1200 - $1400 for the same type of coverage (excess $500, No appointed Car Workshop - so I can go back to C&C becos my car is still under warranty)

I am mad because I had no accidents or cliams whatsoever ....

yes i think on the whole, the rates have gone up sadly ... while we think we are being safe drivers and neber made any claims ... we forget that the there are countless others who do so ... in the end, all of us suffer ! sigh ....

dun understand why the ins coy dun heavily penalise those that claimed in excess while rewarding those that remain claim-free for x nbr of years ???

I think MAS or MOF does... but it always boils down to the under-writing and risk assessments.

My car insurance for my 5 yrs. old W203 from AIG ending next month early Feb '09.

I have full 50% NCD + additional so call 5% more for no claim and they are increasing

my insurance premium from S$500+ to S$1200+...that is OMIGOD S$700 or >130% increase.

I nearly fainted when I opened the renewable form from them.:death:

Please help me to get a better quote! :pray:

The Insurance Company that jacked up my insurance premium was AIG too... Asking $1400 from $900.

I think they are squeezing our money to pay for their f**king US debt and mistakes ... But don't know why NTUC has to increase their price too ? Temasek linked problem (nobody dare to say its a mistake lah) ? :tazzie:
