Engine Stall on slope

David NG

Recommended Posts

Had just gotten a 2nd hand B160 (2011) last week and it have been a wonderful experience.

Am wondering if any bros faced any issue with engine stalling when driving up a slope.

Encountered one today when turning into a slope at low speed, not sure if its because its in comfort mode.

Thanks

Quick question, when it stalls, does the engine and OBC shut down completely? Does the brake engage? Or must u step on brake to prevent car from rolling back?

If u need to do the later it can be abit worrisome as usually there is a short "panic wtf is happening duh" period that goes through my head before i engage parking brake and step on foot brake.

Engine just stops spinning. Lights on the instrument cluster turn on. Brake doesn't engage. So just gotta keep foot on brake, put into N, turn key all the way to the left, then right again all the way.
