Rumbling at cold start

Every morning when I start the engine, there is this rumbling sound that follows after the engine has started. Its like some serious vibration, like gear box has come loose. This only happens at cold start. Any of you also experience this? Is this normal? What rumbling sound is that?

think its better to drive it down to MBM and get it diagnosed. if not it takes away the overall driving experience of a merc.

dunno if your rumbling is the same i felt in my ride;

i used to have this constant vibrating during cold start in the mornings and it goes away after a while. and by ignoring it, it starts to vibrate again during traffic lights when i depress the brakes while on D.

It was diagnosed to be engine mounting loose and had to be replaced.

at that time the car was 2 years old and had abt 50k milage.

replaced it then and now problem is gone.

cheers

OK, Yours should be a W204, Right ?

This is normal, sound like something in the engine block are lossen, right ?

But this sound will only last for less than 2min, after that, back to normal.I had check with both C&C and MBM, both claim is normal at cold start.

Yes, its a W204, about a week old only, so unlikely to be wear and tear. The vibration sound lasts only a few seconds, and only at cold start. If I turned off the engine and re-started it like half-an-hour later, there is no such sound anymore.

I was told it got to do with secondary pump. W204 comes with one. You know what is that?
