had code P0340 their diagnosis is camshaft adjustor, they mentioned its a 2.5 to 2.8k job and need to change both adjustor + the chain + tensioner + the gaskets at the valve cover

any one who have done before can advice on the repair cost as well as is this a re callable item at C&C?

Just changed because Engine warning sign was lighted.  C&C estimated 3 days job.  Did it at Chip Soon, overnight.  Price about the same.

Hi, was told today that my Camshaft Adjuster in n out need to be change. The center valve also! And P233723, P061896?

Any advise? Quoted $4,000 plus yet to include the other 2 code?

Tks

You may wish to get a 2nd opinion / cost from another workshop.  I did it at Chip Soon, a reliable and resonable workshop.

Hi sorry to tap on this thread and wondering if my car is also facing the same problem ?

It kinda jerks when it shifts from gear 1 to 2, at some point, not often, it doesn't respond to the throttle for awhile... ( also only when in first gear and moving off) ? Does this fit the profile ?

hi sorry dont login here often

i think the timing might be slightly out

i did the works at Tropical Success at AMK, but the timing was a little out and i encountered this slight jerk at low rpm during low speed shifting, but the gearbox default in C starts at 2, so its prob 2-3 shift?

they redid the timing for me and no more jerk
