Would like to ask from all expert here what are the common issue with Benz that you guys always face and encounter. Anything that most people are scare of or nightmare if it happen???

Understand Gearbox is a nightmare if it failed. Would like to find out more on Benz before I make a purchase.

If getting from Cnc. First 3 years should be worry free.

If PI, better have a workshop that supports CLA.

Being driving CLA for a year and no major issue. :)

Mercs are one of the most reliable car brands out there. That said, most CLAs are either made in Hungary or South Africa, of course you cant compare with the german made E/S class. My mother in law's E class is now into her 12th year. never had any issues, and she doesn't bring it for servicing that often either.

without stating the obvious, replacement parts/servc cost are definitely higher than your Jap/Korean makes.

my advice, if its your "first" mercs, go to C&C. slightly more expensive, but at least you know who to call when something goes wrong. + u get a 30mins walk through when you take delivery.

Had a w204 c200 Kompressor. Car was 3 years old when I took it. Drove for 2 years, clocking mileage to 120,000. Not much problem. Changed shocks. problems raised a few times in this forum are tailight and headlamps wiring melting( yeah change to FL look.with sonic), green key issue ( I never ken), noisy super charger.

Lots of parts available so servicing is easy and not too x.

Kompressor or cgi?

Which is better?

Which have lower maintenance and lesser wear n tear???

Help help....

Bro w204 is c klass fr 2007 till 2014.

i previously own a w203 kompressor and nw driving a w204Fl cgi.

I can tell you the moment u drove a cgi 7G-tronic, u will nvr want to drive kompreasor 5 speed again.

furthermore the fuel economy of a CGI 7G-tronic is way better than a kompressor 5speed.

CGI is Gasoline, CDI is diesel.

Kompressor is Supercharge and vs Turbocharged.

How you define lower maintenance and lesser wear and tear? any other model to make comparison??? then i can advise accordingly.
