Hi Bro Black Beauty,

Did you buy it from the group buy?

I just look at the mercedes website and it seems like for tyre pressure it is built into the car?

http://techcenter.mercedes-benz.com/en_SG/tyre_pressure_monitoring/detail.html

No I bought it on my own.  If I'm not wrong, the built in TPMS uses ABS sensors to monitor,  it will only tell you there's a puncture but not which tyre.  Furthermore if all the tyres losses pressure gradually, it will not inform you too.  That's why I install TPMS for easier monitoring.

May I know where did you buy it?

How does it look like on the console? any picture?

Any messy dangling cable?

Thanks!

The 1st one on the Amazon.com is the one. USD129 (tick) PRIME.

You can see the rest are not giving you free shipping.

You can get it fitted at any tyre shop (not workshop).  First it is easy to install. Even you look at the instruction you will tell yourself, wah so easy ar !

The Orange tyre pressure sensor is the tyre valve, so you have to remove the tyre and replace the rubber valve with the sensor which is held by a nut. The reader which takes power from your cig lighter 12v, will get the signal from the sensor and readout the tyre pressure. You can change from Kpa to psi which ever you are familar.

The reader also display tyre temperature and voltage of your car.

This kind of things I will not buy online,  I will rather let the installer make some money, any fitment issue they will have to handle it. Furthermore warranty will be handled by them too,  imagine you bring in on your own and there is fitment or other problems you will have to foot the bill for putting on and taking out the items.

Hi Bro BB,

I agreed with you. Does it void CnC warranty if we install this?

I am wondering if you have a picture of your ride with it installed?

Thanks much!

OK Guys, I checked Amazon.com again. Yes I overlooked the shipping to Singapore. The last time I purchased it was sent via Vpost.com.sg.

Since there is someone doing the installation together at $172, it is worth to installed it here.

However, to answer Kellogs' fear that it is not been able to fit into W212 is not true.  I have fitted many sets of these Orange TPMS into different makes and models of vehicle. As long as your car is using the tubeless tyre valve stem, it can fit.  The sensor basically replace that valve and same shape anyway.  In fact, you can say it is nothing to do with which the model of the car.

Sorry...what am I say today. Getting all the figures and facts wrong. My apologies....

USD129 = S$165 + S$25 for Vpost = $190.

Whatever I change tyres, I will then install this TPMS device at that time. Since the tyre is taken out and the rubber valve removed.

Usually the tyre shop will assist to screw the sensor into the valve area. They will usually not charge anything but if tyre shop ask for $20 token , it is also acceptable.

Check youtube for demo on installation.

Yeah, I was also tempted to buy the Orange TPMS.  However, it can't be integrated into the car's system ..... got to use their module as a display, which I don't really fancy

My Orange TPMS saved 2 of my tyres by giving out alarm when it was punctured,  changed tyre before moving out in the morning. My low profile tyre would have been gone case has it not been detected by the TPMS.
