My ride has this ECO n when u step on the brake, the engine will cut off. When u let go brake, the engine start again. Recently, for a few times, when i step on brakes n halt, the engine doesnt cut off. I off the engine n restart the car, its ok again. Wat could be the problem?

My ride has this ECO n when u step on the brake, the engine will cut off. When u let go brake, the engine start again. Recently, for a few times, when i step on brakes n halt, the engine doesnt cut off. I off the engine n restart the car, its ok again. Wat could be the problem?

Could be weak battery. As you battery ages, the stored power capacity is lesser, charge time also increases. Start stop functions need healthy functioning batteries to work properly. If the battery charge does not meet the minimum capacity needed for the system to function, ECO mode won't activate.

if the eco word on your dashboard is green , eco is ready and it will cut off the engine when come to a full halt. If the eco word is yellow the conditions of eco is not met. It could be inside temperature is too hot, or battery not charged to the min voltage you may want to drive more and try.

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

This car is only 1 month old so unlikely is battery issue

no issues lah... Will happen to any ride... mine also the same... initially I tot spoil liao... but then again... it didn't... it's just that that time your battery is not strong enough to activate the ECO mode...

If the system detect that the car do not have enough battery to support when engine is off during eco mode, it will not shut down.  Even if it do shut down and it detected battery going weak or air con not cold enough it will restart even your car is stationery. Hope I'm right.

Ours the Eco will run in between green and yellow. In and out , as the Eco battery supports all the other functions while the car engine is shut down and goes into eco mode, The radio, the air-con and also all the power supply , which is supported by the eco battery.

When eco mode. Realise that air con 'shuts down' and the air coming out is warm. Is this normal? Ride is cla200.

For whatever reason, yes air coming out from the aircon is warmer. Never liked ECO mode, have always switched it off once I start the engine.

Anyway I usually drive window down morning, noon or night so i don know about the air con. on Eco.....

Old man , no la i cant take the cold.... sometimes window up air con also off..... I rarely use aircon , only use on nshw
