Appeal for witnesses!!!

Recommended Posts

A female motorist (my niece) is appealing for witnesses after a minivan rammed into her car (ROC) along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) and simply sped off on Saturday night (Jul 26).
The victim of the hit-and-run had posted a video of the incident on Facebook, which has since garnered 632 likes and over 3,900 shares.
According to a description accompanying the video, she and a few others had been travelling along the MCE when the van driver hit her car on the left.
She wrote:
"We were travelling on Lane 1 from the MCE-KPE-TPE, slightly before KPE-TPE entrance, when a grey mini van from Lane 3 slammed into the left side of our car and sped away.
"The driver was wearing a white tee shirt.
"Can I please ask for help to spread this video so justice can be served?
"There were several cars behind who witnessed the accident and might have managed to catch the vehicle number. Please report it or contact me."

She wrote on her facebook:-

To all the geniuses out there who think I didn't give chase because I'm a woman driver and I just want the attention - if your mother or wife was in this accident, would you have done the same for her? Are you going to sit behind your screen and let people call her a road hogger after she was slammed into out of the blue at 80km/hr at 125am? I didn't give chase because my bumper was pushed against the wheel. I knew that because there was a loud rattling sound when I attempted... to chase after him. And to be honest, I really could have chased him all the way given my rage at that time. But I didn't because I would have endangered the life of others. All I am asking for are witnesses - whether you were on the road when it happened or if you've seen a similar grey Kangoo Renault with a damaged front on the right hand side, please call the police. You wouldn't want this to happen to you or your family so be careful what you say about others.

MCE is monitored 24/7.... maybe LTA can help?

My niece is quite resourceful, probably not or even the taxi company!

Fortunate that she held on to her steering!

Worse she could have lost control and hit the side walls!

Hope someone comes forward!

aiyo jialat this van. do you have his plate number? cannot ask insurance company to claim against it using this video?

If car cam had caught the van vrn won't be asking for witnesses.

After the crash the van went to the extreme left and sped off.

Therefore jialat lor!
