CAR BRA - GROUP BUY

Guest sy69u

Recommended Posts

For those who buka often, I'm starting a thread to see who wants to buy a car bra. Cost about S$500.00. Should be cheaper if we group buy & group delivery. The more people buy, the cheaper the cost. Understand that the car bra covers the top of the hood & bottom at the bumper.

Sorry to throw this cold blanket......

1) Why worry about your front being chip, cover the paint part than headlight and windscreen, how ? That's more ex than repainting...

2) How often you go B's or NSHW ?

3) Most of this mask will rub again your car and leave more swirl mark on it and worst if it comes in metal bucker.

Last .......

Scare dont go, go dont scare......

Scratch ?

Leave the scratches....... Change the car. :tazzie:

Sorry to throw this cold blanket...... no problem but i hope you will not be offended with my replies.

1) Why worry about your front being chip, cover the paint part than headlight and windscreen, how ? That's more ex than repainting... well, at least if we put the bra on & stones do kena, we only have to pay for the lights. windscreen is free & we dont have to pay for respraying. save more cost then not putting a bra on at all.

2) How often you go B's or NSHW ? Not as often enough as i want to but then i still do go. just polish my car & was told tat there are a lot chips already at the bumper. sianz liow.. so its not a matter on how often i go but how do i 1 2 take care of my car....

3) Most of this mask will rub again your car and leave more swirl mark on it and worst if it comes in metal bucker. i really dont know about the metal buckle & where its positioned but of coz will check it before i buy it. if the bra is put on correctly, i do not think the leather bra will rub tat much. furthermore, i have not heard that leather can scratch. have u? hehehehehe.....

Last .......

Scare dont go, go dont scare...... not scared to go but at least there are some form of protection provided.

Scratch ? already got scratches. think of respraying. then future buka sessions, just use bra.

Leave the scratches....... Change the car. :tazzie: will surely change car but not so soon yet.... already know a PI company selling relatively reasonable priced cars. hehehehehe...... so in the mean time, need to keep my current car

this info is extracted from their website:

Our Car Bras are designed to protect the front section of your vehicle from damage, by stone chips, mud, tar, bugs, etc. A special water-resistant durable vinyl with soft backed felt has been developed to provide perfect protection.

In areas of lights, indicators or driving lights we use soft, ultra violet resistant P.V.C. (perspex) with exception of pop-up head lights, which are cut out and covered separately using velcro. No screws, press studs or velcro are used to secure the Car-Bra.

Fitting the CarBra to the car takes a few minutes, soft padded grips on side of Car-Bra bend around the wheel arches, followed by elastics or further grips along bottom and sides.

Sorry to throw this cold blanket...... no problem but i hope you will not be offended with my replies. No problem...Just hope you can save the money up.

1) Why worry about your front being chip, cover the paint part than headlight and windscreen, how ? Fyi, your light might cost you more than 1k. Touching up your front might be less than $500.

2) How often you go B's or NSHW ? Not as often enough as i want to but then i still do go. just polish my car & was told tat there are a lot chips already at the bumper. sianz liow.. so its not a matter on how often i go but how do i 1 2 take care of my car.... Those ppl who wanted to prevent stone chip should only do this...leave the car at home and take MRT.

3) Most of this mask will rub again your car and leave more swirl mark on it and worst if it comes in metal bucker. i really dont know about the metal buckle & where its positioned but of coz will check it before i buy it. if the bra is put on correctly, i do not think the leather bra will rub tat much. furthermore, i have not heard that leather can scratch. have u? hehehehehe.....As i reply, those wedding car are deco with ribbon which are softer than leather. With the leather over your bonnet and bumper, will retain more heat at yopur engine bay meaning more power lost.

Scare dont go, go dont scare...... not scared to go but at least there are some form of protection provided.

Scratch ? already got scratches. think of respraying. then future buka sessions, just use bra.

Hahaa... after your respray, fit the bra than return from buka still find chip mark how ?

Leave the scratches....... Change the car. will surely change car but not so soon yet.... already know a PI company selling relatively reasonable priced cars. hehehehehe...... so in the mean time, need to keep my current car

Asking where are the rest ? This is known as....start the fire than leave hahaa....

I am a lazy car owner yet I dont wish to miss out any fun :tongue1: .

Going up North will sure incure lots of stone chips around bumper area or worst bonnet hence the car-bra might be handy for the drive.

Swirl marks are easily remove with a layer of polish or wax worst get a pro detailer to remove the swirl in a matter of hrs but to get a paint job done thats going to be much more time consuming. A good point was brought up thou..... the heat.

the clear protection film is even more costly than the car bra...

i have it on my old car before and it was from 3M... but it will make the car color dull...

not to my liking

This is one of the better brands in the market. My bro's Porsche uses it. Covers the whole front. Will not scratch your car, will not flap at high speed.

Aiyo...car bra is use for protection only mah, not going for car show competition, and it's not permanent only going tracking or NSHY.

Millions of people using it only S'porean still not popular mah. Ok lor, to each it's own ok? knn... :snglfk:

isn't it uglier if your car is white or red or blue or silver and have a pcs leather on the hood as compare to film?

you need to find a car bra manufacturer that specialise in your make car and not someone that claim make for all make of car.

it will be more costly later for spray paint your lovely car.

also if you do not fix properly, imagine what happen at the speed of 250km/hr and the bra give way?

Ya lor.... Later didn't fix properly the car bra becomes 'batmobile windscreen'..... Keke :batman:

anyway my conclusion is no point arguing till cow come home, good luck to your group buy and i hope it really work that well. if it does already got people selling here and why should we order from AUD.

Quite right about your last sentence,

Well think most people are lazy, rather have someone to put the film on the car than to ownself fix a carbra! That's why film is making biz!

I saw quite a few cars here in US with the bra.

I had the unfortunate experience of having my underside bumper cover ripped off when I went 140 km/h. So be aware of the force of air flowing across the bra (the theory of aerodynamics). A not properly secured bra with a gap is like wing on a curve surface like the bonnet.

Ya lor, no point arguing cos everyone got their own views. But here's my additional 2 cents.

Actually, i was only helping sy69 to 'promote' the group buy, but instead got so many negative comments.

First & foremost, i'm sure members knows that this topic is about the group buy, & just put your name if you're interested right?

If you think it's no good, just don't put your name there. (This is standard practice on other forums, if got a comment on the product about the group buy, just open another topic to discuss the product, not on the 'group buy' thread.

Imagine if you're the one trying to organise a group buy, & members give bad comment, how do you feel? Please remember that the thread is about putting your name if you're interested only!

Or another secenario, if you're the organiser trying to organise a drive to Malaysia, and some members says ''so dangerous or some bad comment'' how do you feel?

What i'm trying to say is if you want just put your name in this group buy, not give negative comments.

Just put yourself in sy69's shoe how would you feel?

All i'm saying is...spare a thought for sy69.

Poor sy69 :(. Do you know 'he cried' last night?
