Check Engine Light

Last few weeks i already noticed that my 2012 W212 need to crank abit longer to start up. But today the check engine light lit up.....

Went to workshop immediately and was told that my Cam Sprockets and cam sensors was faulty. 

Need to change 2x Cam Sprockets ($820 each) , 2x Cam Sensors ($115 each) Labour $200

Total Damage = $2214.90 incl GST.

Would like to know if any bros here ever encounter the same problem as me before..

sorry cant help much about your plight ... but was at my mech asking him about your predicament ... he says it is not so un-common ... he says this is due to the use poor/inferior quality engine oil ...

 

i hope you can find a cost effective way to re-solve your issue ... good luck

Ahh. Haha my mech says that im just unlucky. He ever encounter a BMW same problem in just 1 months time. Hope everything goes well when I collect my car tomorrow

Got abit of discount here and there.

Also changed engine oil , oil filter , front brake rotors , brake pad front and back , brake sensors....

Haha one shot do all. Now i am able to sleep well

My 2010 E250 CGI experienced the same problem and Engine light came on.  Repair cost $2800 including 2 fuel pipes.  Bought from C&C.  This repair done outside workshop (overnight) as C&C requires 3 days to repair.
