W221 headlights cover loosing its shine/becoming unclear

Hi Bros,

 

Had pre 2010 W221 headlights cover loosing it's shine. Is there anywhere to restore it?

 

Also considering upgrading to post 2010 LED Headlights, wondering how much that would cost? that would be replacing the whole light assemblies right?

Go to Autobacs....there's plenty of Headlamps polish kit available there.

Facelift W221

Headlights - about $3500

Rearlights - about $1000

Besides the head lights and rear led lights, full facelift also include the facelift front grille, front bumper with DRL lights and sidemirrors.

The main headlight is HID but the high beam is normal halogen bulb.

 

I think now around 10k all in.

 

Usually, non original facelift daytime DRL lights has no autodimmer ie stays full intensity even at night, see whether can get it dim automatically when main beam/parking lights on.

Also ensure for the rear lights, all 4 levels of rows of LED are activated (some shops only activate the lower 2).

Did a restoration, and now looks brand new

Can do that also. However, will damage the UV coat further and blurring will return. Unless anyone ok to keep cleaning w toothpaste every few weeks
