So i was supposed to be on my way to an interview last Saturday.

Put my bag in the car, put on my shoes and tried to start my car.

Click and it went dead. Beeping sounds. Tried to turn the key again. NOTHING...  :startle:

Tried a few more times. Same thing. Called the cab and went for the interview fuming..

Came back around 10 plus in the morning and tried again. This time it started! but the cranking seemed laboured.

So drove down to C&C after switching off the "Eco Start/Stop".

There i find out that battery warranty is 2 years..phew.... OR 30,000km!! I had just hit 36,000km  :startle:

So after a few more questions, i find out that if i get their guys to check, and they diagnose it as a battery problem and i decide not to get it replaced at C&C il have to pay labour charge.

So i drive out to a known workshop and they do the battery test for NO CHARGE. They tell me the battery is ok, starter test is ok.. but the charging test is low.... And that it could be related to the alternator..

Now i dont mind getting C&C to change the battery if it really is the issue here,.. My hands are kinda tied. Waiting to send the car in for checking soon. the downtime is such a pain in the............arghh..

anyone faced a similar problem before..??

Hope everyone has had a pleasant start to the week! :thumbsu:

i experienced this problem when i was driving the Jaguar and it was indeed the alternator problem.

battery would easily last you 4-5 years so i would rule out the battery. it might be that the charging is weak hence it shows that the battery wasn't good. i will suggest you get some quotes soon and replace the alternator.
