BIG THANK YOU TO SGMERC!!

Went to JB for an economic refuel to my car during the wee hours this morning.  Unwind the passenger side rear window down for the custom officer.  While I was winding up the front and rear window, I heard a "click clack"...  I was thinking if the car has hit anything by manoeuvring away from the custom office.

To my horror, my rear window could not be wind up!!  Did a quick pump at the nearby gas station and hurried home.  Open up the rear door panel and confirmed the rear window regulator busted.  Just did whatever I could to wind up the window else the car cannot be parked.

Woke up this morning and check on the pinned topic on the Mercedes parts stockist.  Decided to call up Mr Lim from Surpass Auto Parts Supplies Pte Ltd and ordered a new regulator for a mere hundred buck.  He is really a fuss free and straight to the point type of person as per described by some of the bros here.

With a quick DIY job and voila...!!  My window is back to normal again!!

I have been reading postings from the forum and I would say it is really informative.  Without this forum, I would probably have to spend lots of time Google and calling up companies to compare on pricing.  With the help of great people here who had done the searching high and low, it was totally a breeze...!

Kudos to administrators and bros/sisters who have & share great passion on car and not forgetting loads of their personal time in making this forum possible.

Great work everyone...!

Once again, a big thank you to SGMERC!!!

Let me revive this topic, wanted to give thanks to the folks for two issues fixed last week:

1. 60K service, painful but at least I know that I did not get ripped off. Easier to buy the parts and get a reputable mechanic to fix.

2. steering veering to the left - finally got my steering rack replaced and got camber bolts installed to correct the veering. Ride drives much better now.

Thanks again for your help folks!

Kian Teong Auto... Nice place.

My first ride, Hyundai Atos, was used to be serviced by them.

Mike (2nd generation of their family business) is a nice chap and so it the wife, Wendy. Both overseas graduates having great passion with their workshop...
