why would the chief medic on bard of the ambulance be so concern about a tailgating" mercedes" rather than a Cardiac Arrest patient inside?

wouldnt he be more useful to monitor Patient's vital signs than " Activating" the camera to capture the footage of the CLS and post it on FB later??

Think there was another medic in the ambulance monitoring the patient. I guess he did the right time to activate the camera to catch the reckless driver and good that nothing untowards happened to the patient.

Assuming the CLS is going at 60kmh , if the ambulance tried to stop and the CLS crash on the ambulance the patient will surely die. AED is supposed to be used while stationary not while moving, as if the medic missed it , it might also cause death.

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

even there is another medic on board of the ambulance.

he as a chief medic have the responsibility of ensuring patient's safety

Also, I do not believe that being an attending medical profession you have such a nosy attitude to look out for other things than your patient's wellbeing.

one medic to check vitals, check leads, another to ensure o2 mask is on and bagging.

I myself in healthcare line so I know what it takes to treat and ensure all attention to my patient rather than a tailgaiting car.

I agree! One of the most useless platforms around. It's become a venue just for people to vent frustrations. People should mind their own business more.

Orh.....I guess you are right since you are in this line. Thought a medic must also pay attention to the surrounding/environment when rendering help to the victim. Maybe I misunderstood.

Let's be real.... the ambulance was driving at a pace... and the lead medic..... while trying to stabilise the patient, decides to call for the driver to stop so he can administer AED... but the driver has reported that he was being tailgated.... thus Lead Medic decides to activate the rear camera to  capture the culprit.... it's not an easy task to save in a moving ambulance.... trust me... I've been there before.... And do respect the medics who are doing their best to save our asses... thank you very much....
