Currently driving a W204 and on 17" rims. :batman:..

Just want to ask the recommended tyre pressure as the gas flap doesn't seem to indicate recommended pressure for 17" :iconsalut:...

C & C recommended 210. But I've been using 230-240.

I believe not. Always refer to manufacturer specs.

But the rule of +2PSI for every rim size +1, & hot air compensation +3PSI seems to be the norm.

My E93 needs 39PSI at the rear & 35PSI at the front.

May I ask why the difference in PSI for front and rear?

rear higher as need to support the weight of all the gold bars he keeps in his boot :D

Haha... How i wish.

Diff ? Beats me. It is printed on the car. Got a shock when i saw the numbers. But apparently it is norm. Heard some folks do 40+

Best thing is u incre front pressure to increase oversteer.

I suspect it gotta be due to the 50/50 balance...

Haha, btw today I tried to pump my tyres to about 35 PSI for start.

But I kept getting an error on the machine, this happened to all 4 wheels...

Lowered it to 33 PSI and it gave the same problem... Anyone knows why?

haiya... never RTFM... :la:

Ur TPM needs to be reset once u inflate tyre.

Also rear needs to be a bit higher than the front cuz merc tend to understeer.

Can explain why having a higher tire pressure on the rear wheels helps on the understeer problem?
