Navigation system

Recommended Posts

Hi all, my dad just got a C200, but it didn't come with a navigation system. I'm just wondering if I will be able to download online and install it myself. Thanks

Hi and welcome!

It'll be helpful if you listed the YOM of your car. I'm assuming your car does not come with the Comand Navigation system. There are three methods to get a navigation system in your car.

Firstly and the easiest, purchase any portable aftermarket GPS. They are readily available and the cheapest option in the market.

Secondly is to retrofit an integrated aftermarket navigation system into your existing original audio system, availability depending of your YOM. Cost around $1000 plus minus, and some wiring has to be done to your original audio system.

Thirdly, you can choose to retrofit the Mercedes original Comand Navigation system. This is the most expensive option costing $3000 and up, DVD, multimedia interface, depending on your car. The whole audio system head unit will need to be replaced.
