C&C have found out the issue already. My piston jammed! And they asked me to change the whole engine!! Anybody know garage that are able to fix it??

Bro Subaloo, what is the YOM of your ride and what is the milege? Oh...what is your ride???

If under 3yrs and under 100K, by right under warrantee...

Spoon feeding teaches you nothing....but the shape of the spoon...

I was googling for piston jam and was presented with a few links that in general mentioned piston jams can be caused by overheating. Some further mentioned it can also be caused by using wrong heat range spark plugs.

I'm more familiar with industrial equipment, but the principles are similar.

In mechanical terms, something like piston jam would likely be caused by "siezing". Symptoms of "siezing"would be overheating, but the actual cause may be due to lack/inappropriate lubricant. This leads to build up in fraction. expansion, more friction until the parts "sieze"

As far as I know, parts that have "siezed" cannot be repaired, as the crystalline structure of the steel/alloy has been irreversibly changed

However, if the piston jam is caused by foreign particles, then there would not be a symptom of overheating. Overhauling may be possible in this case. But bro subaloo stated C&C asked him to change the engine i.e. not repairable

YOM 2011 - Under warranty

105k KM - Out of the 100k KM warranty

If it is out of warranty, than you will need lots of money to get it resolved.

But if you had been servicing your car diligently at C&C, this wouldnt have happen even if its is 5k KM more than 100KM for warranty support.

I do suspect servicing was not done regularly. ... or like you said. .. diligently. ....

Another likely cause would be

Another possible cause would be that if the engine is not sufficiently warmed up before being driven aggressively, this will lead to rapid uneven expansion & uneven temperature profile, especially for turbo charges cars. Over time, this may also cause the piston to jam (or "siezing" to occur)

Bro it's either you scrap the vehicle or to change the engine now.

No other options it's a pain and a price to pay for not servicing in time

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

Turbo and Kompressor is the gearbox transmission not the engine and LTA requires the manufacturer to Certification from vehicle manufacturer or the local sole agent stating that the replacement is of the same type as the original one.

Thus is impossible to change from Kompressor to CGI/ 7G
