Broken door aluminium seal rail

My wife opened the back passenger door too hard, side of door hit a Volvo SUV and broke the plastic cover at the end of the door aluminum seal rail. Nothing happened to the Volvo, not even a dent.

The broken plastic cover cannot be fixed, C&C said need to replace the entire aluminium rail, cost me $122.11. Lucky still got service credit to deduct.

For info, you need to go to body repair centre at Pandan Loop. Anyway, hope you guys don't need it. Be careful when you open the door.

Same thing happened to me before. But mine was only slightly bent at the end so I just leave it. Lol!

Seems like this thing broke easily mine broke for no reason. And i just use a selly glue to get it done

Yes glue will work. Remember to use clear tape to hold it in position overnight. Will help it to sit in back properly.
