 I decided to buy a replica key just to replace the casing, after working DIY on it for a good 25mins, managed to replace the whole key moving the battery and chipboard over to the new casing.

 

Photos below, right now interested to know when in Singapore I can buy the c180 key casing, saw them at sengkang rivervale plaza a provision shop just outside the market but have not checked the price yet.

 

I brought mine online, after shipping and handling charges cost me about S$20.

 

On the left is the new casing i brought, on the right is the original key

feels the same, but have some sharp plastic edges intially which I use my trusty army issued SOG to smoothened!

brought from alibaba, cannot find the link already..

not difficult to find, many different vendors selling!

 

I am more interested to know how much does it cost locally.. (so I can have a good gague if I saved some money or spended extra!)

Check it out Turf Club Auto Lot C21 for the casing same as original... $100 odd like this.. They also fab and progr Benz new keys... Hope it helps.
