this happens to drivers who likes to unlock their car a distance far enough from their car and others with scanners lurking somewhere nearby that can capture the code. i notice that many drivers, mostly jap car with supposedly sophisticated alarm system like to click their remote while they still have 10 car lengths to walk to their car. to a certain extent i'm quite happy that my baby's remote is line of sight and only works near the car, makes a bit more difficult and being a front wheel drive i always park head in 1st whenever i can or remember, makes it a bit more challenging for the thieves.
