Hi Everyboy...

Am interested in getting the new C230 (W204) and have the following queries:

1. Would 20" rims fit on the car?

2. What's the max width of rims/tires that can be placed on the car (Staggered Setup)?

3. Can i change to aftermarket coilovers?

4. How much lip can i have on my rims?

1. Would 20" rims fit on the car?

YES!

2. What's the max width of rims/tires that can be placed on the car (Staggered Setup)?

Not sure but 8.5F 10R with 235F 265R is the MAX that i can think of.

3. Can i change to aftermarket coilovers?

YES!

4. How much lip can i have on my rims?

Reasonably deep.

u can have super deep but ur offset must be same,

BUT if u change to BBK u need thinner lip to have clearance for the Brake pad

If you are going for the look, a 19" nice rim should be good enough for W204 as the wheel base not too long....18" are already compromising on the comfort as W204 are nothing compare to W211 for comfort wise...

me think 20" will give a very harsh ride .... 18 is the best compromise for looks and ride comfort.. just drop the car a little to give it a meaner stance ...

also rubbers for the 20 will be astronomical ...

btw, 9339, any idea how much the C350 will cost ?

Bro,

20", isn't it too heavy, your car will crawl like a turtle. unless you go for forged rim but it will cost you a pair of hand & leg.

O.k unless you only want the look and don't care about performance & FC/

C350/280 no prob... smaller cc i dunno...

Sorry to hijack your thread, whats the waiting time for the C230? As there is no ex-stock, C&C told me earliest is Jan/Feb 2009 for the C350.

C230 (S$176,888) ex-stock for Iridium Silver with black or grey interior,

delivery Sept/Oct for Obsidian Black, Tenorite Grey, Palladium Silver with black interior,

and Palladium Silver with cognac brown interior.

Hahaha... Understand ur concern... Am 1 of 2 Honda Civic's that is running around on 20"... No Issues on performance

& FC on my ride... easily getting 10.5-11 km/L (Stock bout 12-13 km/L)... Performance wise... pickup suffers a little

but i still can pace cars with 17" or 18" easily... no issues there

My current 20" are semi forged... To Me... where can i really run in SG... No point racing from 1 traffic light to the next... Better

to sit back and enjoy the comforts of one's car and feel proud that you drive a "Ballin'" Car... Hahaha

yup

really no point too many traffic lights!! these are a killer to our FC also..

seriously, racing must be in a controlled area... its more safe for everyone.. :punk1:
