What kind of sound? whrring? knocking? scratching?...

I had encountered in my first car (which was a Mazda) was a knocking kok kok sound when turning one direction was a broken bellow seal. Not too sure if there is one in a Merc, the bellow seal covers the universal joint of the driveshaft and tie rod to the wheel. Over time, the rubber seal simply breaks and dirt gets into the universal joint. You want to take a look underneath the car if this is the situation.

funny sound? so do u laugh whenever u make a turn?? hehehehehehe. just kidding.

sound only comes when turning? front or back wheel? if its the front should be the drive shaft. this problem occurs when we often turn the steering wheel hard to the fullest many times. its like banging the shaft. the correct way is to know where the tuning end point is & not turn until there. can save loads of money from replacing it.

Bro..... rear wheel drive car, front no driveshaft, only tie steering rod & front axle

Front wheel drive, then it is the universal shaft.

Because of the high castor angle, there tends to be a lot of stress the front wheel bearings esp if one has step up his wheel and push the car through the corner....

Haha its not my car..belongs to my dad though I drive it more often these days. Its a good car la, but well, I wish there weren't so much problems. Guess I should appreciate the fact that I have a fairly driveable ride. ;)
